Witches’ Tools for Artists: Elements of Magic [Online: March 1 – May 17]
Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit…allies in living magically, allies in creating art, allies in enacting change in our living world.
Are you the magical sort, interested in learning more about Reclaiming Witchcraft?Do you create? Are you interested in exploring your craft by using the tools of the Witch?
The first of the Reclaiming Tradition core classes, this class will explore the Elements through the lens of the Reclaiming Tradition. Over 10 weeks, we will investigate the foundations of the practice of Witchcraft through intimate workings with Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. With Allies both magical and human, we will step into artistic practice as a magical and revolutionary act.

Amoret BriarRose: I am a poet, witch, and synergist. I am an initiate in both Reclaiming and Anderson Feri traditions and have been working magic for 17 years. I seek the sacred in words and woods, in song and silence, and in the intimate magics of the everyday. I endeavor to look life in the eye and believe that surrender holds a key to grace. I am called to divination, gathering messages from tarot cards and runes, from the sounds of tree roots stretching and the drumming of heartbeats. I am called to community, knowing that many hands make light and interesting work. I come alive when our voices come together, calling to the Mysteries. Laurie Dietrich: I am a performance artist, a ritualist and a deathworker. I was trained as a priestess at Diana’s Grove Mystery School, and continue that work with a team of Grove-trained collaborators as Expanding Inward (expandinginward.com). I am interested in coherence. Coincidence. Simplicity. Integrity. I call myself a Shaper, and I do that work with words and silence, motion and stillness, pageant and darkness. My great teachers are Paradox, Necessity and Change. My spiritual practice is Buddhism. One of my deep joys is sharing the ideas, values and practices that have transformed my own life with others.
